Sometimes, your PC behaves oddly due to a number of reasons. Due to some of the unneeded files, folders and apps are saved in your PC or if it becomes corrupt. In such a case, it becomes important to reset your PC. Windows 10 has this extraordinary feature that restores your windows to its original default settings and also removes any corruptive background programs.
There is no requirement of going back to square one and reinstalling the windows, instead, you could reset your PC. So here are the steps which you can follow to reset your Windows 10: –
STEP I – Navigate to Settings à Select option ‘Update & Security’ in the left pane, click Recovery.
Three options will be displayed namely I) Reset this PC II) Go back to an earlier Build III) Advanced Startup

STEP III – To clean the drivers: – Select either ‘Just remove my files’ option or ‘remove files and clean the drive’ option and click next then click reset and click continue.

Method 3: Run System File Checker (SFC) and Check Disk (CHKDSK)
Go to command prompt option as mentioned above.
Now, write this command in the command prompt window:
sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows
chkdsk C: /f /r /x
Note: Kindly ensure that you use the drive letter where the Windows is currently installed.
In the above command C: is the drive on which we want to run check disk, /f refers to a flag which check disk seeks the permission to rectify any errors associated with the drive, /r possess the feature to allow check disk to search for bad sectors and perform recovery and /x gives the command to the check disk to dismount the drive before initiating the process.
Exit the window and restart your computer.
Note: if the following instructions are also not helpful to retrieve the desired changes, then follow method 4 to perform a system restore.
Method 4: Perform A System Restore
Attach System Repair Disc/recovery drive or windows installation media and select language preference. Click next and now hit the repair your computer button.
Click troubleshoot button and select advanced option button.
